Do I need an appointment to shop at Embody Bridal?

Yes! We’re focused on making sure you have an amazing, one-on-one experience while shopping at Embody Bridal.

When should I start dress shopping?

We recommend you start dress shopping as soon as possible, ideally 10-12 months in advance. This allows time for us to order your dress, the designer to make and ship the gown, and time for you to get any alterations that you may need.

Most of our designers have a 16-18 week turnaround time once the order is placed. We are able to rush order most dresses for an additional fee.

We do have a small selection of gowns we can sell off the rack. This means you get the exact dress you tried on in the store instead of a ordering a new one.

I requested my appointment time. What’s next?

You’ll receive an appointment confirmation email from us shortly after you submit your request. Until then, spend time on Pinterest and Instagram getting inspiration for dress styles you’d like to try!

When you come for your appointment, bring any shapewear, shoes, and/or accessories you plan to wear on your big day. We’ll get you and your guests some champagne and let you pick out dresses you’d like to try on!

How many people can I bring to my appointment?

We’ve got seating for 5-6 people in our viewing areas. We can accommodate more if you’d like, but we do recommend trying to keep the number of guests capped at 6 - sometimes too many opinions can be overwhelming!

If you will be bringing more than 6 guests, please email hello@embodybridal.com to let us know so we can ensure enough seating for everyone.

Do you carry bridesmaid, mother of the bride/groom, or prom dresses?

We do not! At this point in time, our focus is on bridal gowns only.

We’re located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but serve brides across the entire state and Midwest!
